Revolution Lighting Technologies Wins LED Contracts

Revolution Lighting Technologies, a provider of LED lighting, said Tuesday it has sold 205,000 LED tubes to the federal government, primarily for military installations. The tubes typically replace fluorescent lighting.

Revolution Lighting said recent contract wins include LEDs for Parris Island Marine Corps Base, an 8,095-acre military facility in South Carolina. The company said the lighting retrofit is expected to achieve a payback to the federal government of less than two years. The company said produces LED tubes in Southern California, thus allowing it to claim certain privileges under the Buy American Act that require federal agencies to first consider American-made products when purchasing.
