European ADRs Slightly Lower

American depository receipts of European stocks were 0.1% lower at 129.55 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Thursday morning. Decliners in Continental Europe were led by ArcelorMittal (MT), a Luxembourg steelmaker, 3.7% lower, followed by Deutsche Bank – Global Registered Shares (DB), down by 3.3% and STMicroelectronics – New York Shares (STM), an Italian semiconductor company, 2.3% lower. Credit Suisse (CS) a Swiss financial services company, was 2.2% lower.

In the UK, Trinity Biotech (TRIB), a manufacturer of medical diagnostic products, was 4.9% lower, followed by Amec Foster Wheeler (AMFW), a global engineering conglomerate, down by 3.4% and diversified mining company BHP Billiton (BBL), down by 3.1%. Akari Therapeutics (AKTX), a development-stage biopharmaceutical company, was 2.6% lower. Gainers in Continental Europe were led by technology investor Nokia (NOK), up by 4.8%, followed by Novo Nordisk (NVO), a Danish healthcare company, 2.9% higher and voxeljet (VJET), a German three-dimensional printer manufacturer, up by 1.9%. Sequans Communications (SQNS), a French developer of chipset solutions, was 1.8% higher.
