Amazon Kicks Off Third Annual Prime Day

Amazon is Monday kicking off its third annual Prime Day six hours early this year, giving members 30 hours to shop. The company said with new deals starting as often as every five minutes, members in Canada can shop for deals organized by more than 15 of the most-shopped-for themes.

The stock was modestly higher in recent pre-market trade, moving at the higher end of 52-week range $710.10 – $1,017. Earlier the company also said it plans to open a new fulfillment center in Orlando, Florida. The site will create 1,500 new full-time jobs.
